イトコたち・８人くらいが・週末や・お正月などに・集まりました。
その日も・みんなで・ヒヨコを買いに・近くのペットショップへ・出かけていきました。
祖母宅の２階の部屋で・ヒヨコを放して・遊んでました。
夕食の時間になり・１階の食堂へ呼ばれ・みんなで・ごはんを食べました。
普段・あまり・祖母宅へは来ない・次男（ 祖母の次男・母の二番目の兄 ）の娘（ この数年後に・一緒に暮らすようになる・イトコです ）が・厨房のほうで・静かにしているので・気になって・見に行きました。

従姉妹も・私も・泣いてしまいました。
すると・従姉妹の父が・私たちを見て・ヒヨコを見て、どうしたのか？と・聞きました。

ヒヨコもハムスターも。
