　補助金不支給の影響について、金理事長は「補助金は学校運営予算（年間約１億１千万円）の大きな比重を占める。東日本大震災で被害を受けた施設も修繕できないなど厳しい状況だ」と述べた。

　同校は１９６１年に創立。日本の小・中学校に当たる教育を担当し、在日朝鮮人や在日韓国人らが学んでいる。
学校関係者によると、児童生徒２４１人のうち朝鮮籍と韓国籍がそれぞれ約半数ずつを占め、日本籍や中国籍も一部いるという。高校長は「県民に学校のことを理解してもらえる活動にも力を入れたい」としている。

「韓国政府は国内法と国際法に関連した司法手続きを進めた結果、韓日関係などを総合的に
検討し問題を決定する」と述べた。

　　2月26日、韓国の大田地裁は仏像2体のうち観音寺が所有していた長崎県指定の有形文化
財「観世音菩薩坐像」について、仏像が観音寺に渡った経緯が明らかになるまで、韓国政府は日本に返還できないとする仮処分を決定を出した。

　　日本側はこれを受けて、国連教育科学文化機関（ユネスコ）の文化財に関する条約に従い仏像を返還するよう再度求めたという。ユネスコの文化財に関する条約では、加盟国に対し違法に搬出入された文化財は返還するよう義務付けている。

韓国国内では、仏像は過去に日本に略奪されたものだとして返還に反対する声が高まっている。
